World Champion Freediver Alessia Zecchini Supports Bata ng Calabnugan

We recently had the incredible honor of hosting a special event with Alessia Zecchini, 40-time freediving world record holder and supporter of Bata ng Calabnugan.

Alessia first learned about our Family Home last year during a visit to the Philippines for a freediving competition. Since then, she has remained a dedicated advocate for our mission to provide a safe and nurturing home for orphaned and at-risk girls.

In 2024, Alessia published her book Dive Deep, a deeply personal look into her journey as an elite freediver. In an incredibly generous gesture, she pledged to donate 50% of all profits from the book to Bata ng Calabnugan.

The Meet & Greet event, held at Anahaw in Dauin, gave supporters and members of our local community a chance to meet Alessia in person, ask questions, and hear her story firsthand. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase signed merchandise, including t-shirts and bookmarks created by the children of our Family Home.

We are so grateful to Alessia for using her platform to support our cause. She has also become a powerful role model for the girls under our care. Alessia’s achievements serve as a welcome reminder that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible.
